Golf
The Kimberley College Golf Academy – in partnership with the Carbrook Golf Club – was created to meet the needs of elite junior players. The senior squad comprises of players who are competing regularly in a high level of golf competition. The development squad targets younger players who are not yet competing at the elite level, but are still involved in regular competition. During Years 11 and 12, Golf Academy students can even choose to undertake Recreation Studies: Golf as one of the six subjects studied whilst completing senior school.

The Kimberley College Golf Academy operates under the guidance of internationally recognised professional Mrs. Kate Dunn and Angus Porter. Kate has coached all over the world and has regularly competed in the Ladies European Tour as well as the American LPGA. Angus is a fully certified PGA professional and is advanced in Coaching and Game Development. Training is conducted at the neighbouring Carbrook Golf Club.
Successful Kimberley College Golf Academy students will have a choice of tertiary pathways through Griffith University and the International Sports Institute, TAFE study, or traineeships in professional golf.
Course Outline
The Kimberley College Golf Academy program emphasises three areas of study:

Technique – develop a knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of a good golf swing

The game – students study the influences of the game of golf

The player – students study the relationship between the mind, the physical capabilities and performance.
Students will receive the following tuition and golf experience as part of the program:
