Head of Boat (Head of House)

Heads of Boat are responsible for all matters relating to the wellbeing and management of students in their Boat (years 7 - 9), the Social and Emotional Learning program and other well-being initiatives. Heads of Boat are responsible for setting the expectations and tone in their respective boat; and promoting and fostering the development of a positive and cohesive sense of community amongst students, staff and parents. 

About you

The successful applicant will have high expectations for learning and behaviour of all students; demonstrate a genuine commitment to all matters pertaining to student wellbeing; and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive and respectful culture within their Boat. 

Essential criteria:

  • Qualifications and demonstrated ability to teach to the specified requirements of the position.

  • Demonstrated capacity in pastoral care and management of students.

  • Demonstrated capacity to lead wellbeing initiatives within a classroom/school setting.

  • Demonstrated capacity to operate as a collaborative and team-oriented person in a professional work environment.

  • Understanding of and commitment to the ethos of independent schooling.

  • Capacity and willingness to contribute to the School’s co-curricular program.
