Congratulations to Year 12 students, Ashton Bennett who received both the 2023 College Dux and the Kristyn O’Donnell Award for the Scholar of the Year. Leah White was the recipient of both the WAFFO Spirit and the AMPOL Best All Rounder Awards at the 2023 senior graduation last night.

Therapy dogs help to soothe Year 12 exam jitters

As our Year 12 students continue with their final external exams this week, it can be a stressful time. A special visit by therapy dogs, Spencer and Arya from Empower Assistance Dogs helped to ease some of those pre-exam jitters and bring a smile before tackling the mathematics exam.

Junior MasterChef comes to KC

It started with our students shopping for groceries for their healthy meal recipes, budgeting along the way and culminated in our own KC Junior MasterChef Challenge on Wednesday night. Year 5 and 6 students cooked up a storm, prior to the official judging. Well done to all our Chefs!

We're thrilled to announce our success at this year's Ekka our very own KC honey secured third place in the delicious honey category and clinched the top spot in the beeswax division. Under the expert guidance of Mrs. Steph Blumes from The Urban Bee Co our beekeeping program has thrived.

Bee Keeping is alive and well

City of Logan Councillor Stemp visits our Bee Keeping Program

Our middle school students were excited to demonstrate their bee keeping skills and share some delicious honeycomb fresh from the hive when Councillor Stemp visited in early May. The students learn about the world of bees, as well as teamwork, responsibility, and environmental stewardship.

2023 Diploma of Business Graduates

19 students successfully completed the nationally recognised qualification, Diploma of Business. Completing the Diploma of Business provides our students with skills, knowledge, and employability – all before they finish school. In addition, it has a credit articulation arrangement with Griffith and Southern Cross Universities.

Core Four Sports Program in 2023

The College is excited to announce that our students will now be able to compete in a new interschool sport competition - Northern AGCC (Association of Gold Coast Colleges). Four schools compete each semester in Basketball, Football (soccer), Netball and Touch Football (Years 7 to 12).

University of Queensland Scholarship Recipient

2022 Graduate and Valedictorian

We would like to congratulate Year 12, Class of 2022 graduate Leah Duncan from Yunupingu faculty on being awarded a $55,000 Leadership, Excellence and Diversity (LEAD) scholarship towards her Double Degree in Laws/ Arts (German Language & International Relations) at the University of Queensland (UQ).
